32 Years & Going Strong
Today is my parents' 32 wedding anniversary. I was thinking about them this morning on my run. . .thinking about how much they've changed over their years together. They are smarter, happier, and more content. Let's face it, I've been with them most of that time. I've seen them laugh, heard them argue, and even witnessed the occassional bottom pinching in the kitchen. They are fun together.
My mom always refers to him as Michael. . .never Mike. She loves to tell people how great he is. She supports him in his church calling, job, and his general craziness. My dad genuinely values her opinions. Other than the occassional automobile purchase, they make decisions together. He likes to spend time with her. She is his best friend. They have 4 children, a son-in law, and a 4 wheeler. They plant a garden together every year. They have travelled, prayed, and worked together. They are "THE VIRTUES."
So, on this day commemorating their togetherness, I express my love to the two people who have had the greatest influence on their longest admirer.

Thank you Mickey. I love you all but most of all I love "Michael" - he is the best. I am glad I chose him to be my eternal mate.
There is no way that you can look at him in that suit and not believe that he has always wanted to be a car salesman.
Glad you mentioned the suit...just finishing up the will and have a good idea who I should leave it to.
