Judge Virtue Bein' Cool in the High School

A few weeks ago, I agreed to be a judge for the Mr. & Ms. Timpanogos High School competition. So tonight I made my way to the acne infested halls with the power to make or break the lives of young innocents. Despite my initial skepticism, the evening was so much fun. The students were animated, talented, funny, and fearless. I loved sitting in front of their auditorium at a long table with my very own light. I loved filling out the stack of scoring sheets and the anticipation when the final numbers were calculated. I remember loving high school (at least my final two years) and tonight I remembered why. It's exciting. You hang out with fun people, your parents still take care of "adult junk," and life is made up of simple pleasures and loads of potential.
