Weird & Wonderful
Today I decided that people are weird. I'm the only normal one. Is that possible? We had customer after ridiculous customer today. One wanted 10 bunches of pink dalhias in by Saturday. She was willing to pay ANYTHING. I considered offering to fly down to the grower in S. America to procure the lovely blossoms, but though differently. My luck I'd get a worm. Do they think such things are just lying about? An engaged couple was intent on finding a piece of glass that doesn't exist (trust me--I've seen them all). It's a good thing they aren't getting married until December. Come to think of it, that would probably be enough to make anyone go to "the weird side." Finally, there is the old bride from hell who keeps pretending that we're old friends--even though I don't know her--only her reputation. What a piece of work. I won't go into any more detail. . .for fear that people who read this blog might by some terrible fate know of whom I speak, but she could be the death of me.
The good news is that in all of today's weirdness, I had lunch with Deena, accomplished most of my "to do" list, L#1 got a haircut, I had a great run, Jan introduced me to my newest skirt, I had a lovely visit with Lady Calli (who I might add is back in the blogging world), I purchased a new red pen for my scriptures, and Kimmy and I are going to watch our digitally recorded episode of Grey's while we eat sugar free coffee ice cream. So, all in all, it was a pretty weird and wonderful day.
