Confessions

I have a friend named Sarah. The title of her blog is "Confessions of a 20-Something Drama Queen." She's witty and wonderful. . .though I actually don't know her well (my first confession), she's a kindred spirit that you immediately associate with and adore. Her blog inspired me to collect and reveal a series of my own confessions. . .

Confessions of a 30-nothing Diva:

1. Remember how I'm not eating beef? Well, I had a beef-eating accident at 7-Peaks last week. There was roast beef in our sandwich. The boys promised not to tell, but that bit of beef has been eating at me all week and I just can't keep it a secret anymore. After nearly 8 months without an ounce of cow, I broke my beef-eating boycott at a waterpark on astro-turf.

2. Sometimes I hate the hundreds of pillows atop my bed. . .

3. I screen my calls.

4. I screen my door.

5. On days I don't workout, I don't always wash my hair.

6. I love Sex in the City (edited). . .though that has also been boycotted for almost a year.

7. I am a semi-control freak.

8. Sometimes I lie to protect the innocent (namely myself).

9. When I cleaned my bathroom tonight, there was a complete layer of hair covering the tile floor. I think I'm balding.

10. I would really like to watch re-runs of The Love Boat, Press Your Luck, The Dukes of Hazzard, Hazel (does anyone remember that show), Scarecrow & Mrs. King, Aerowolf, Perfect Strangers, and Moonlighting.

11. I don't self medicate.

12. If someone placed a box of Hostess Old Fashioned doughnuts in front of me right now, I could down the whole box with a glass of milk.

13. I talk to myself.

14. I wish I looked more like Reese Witherspoon.

15. I like to pick the good stuff out of cold cereal. . .like the marshmallow charms out of the Lucky Charms. Of course, that's hard to do with Fiber One and Cheerios.

Michelle...you rock. I love your confessions. I keep thinking, "I want to hang out with Michelle sometime." So, if you ever want to hang...let me know. ;)

Don't dwell on the negative - dwell on the positive. I think you need to take this blog section off and pursue the great positive outlook on life that you have. I did love that you wanted pick out the best of Lucky Charms, the movies and eating the Hostess. COME HOME AND WE WILL BUY THE HOSTESS.

So that explains the unreturned phone calls... hum... :) I'm glad you talk to yourself because I know sometimes people at work start to wonder what is going on- if I've developed a 2nd personality, or if things are just starting to get to me so much that I've started conducting counciling sessions with myself... I'd better stop now... :)

Has anyone ever heard of a SEMI-brother-in-law? I think I have one.
