Warm River Escapade
I needed to get away. Ever get that feeling. . .like you just need to escape everydaydom? So, I left work early on Thursday, loaded up the Passat and headed to Warm River (just south of Island Park) to meet my parents for a little camping adventure. It ended up being about a 5 hour drive, but worth every minute. We went four-wheeling, had some tasty food, enjoyed the prematurely changing leaves, and did some exploring.
Some of the highlights:
-Biking up to the railroad bridge and then riding back down the trail in the torrential rain. . .very cool, but my behind is still sore.
-Visiting with Ryan, Kortney, and the Miles.
-Potty trips with mom.
-Dad's Italian EuroSocks.
-The cattle guard with Ryan & the 4-wheeler.
-The head of warm river. . .spilling out of the mountain.
-Feeding the fish.
-Red vines.
-Sleeping in just to avoid the cold morning air.
-Fire a la gasoline.
-Discovered there is a full & half marathon up by Mesa Falls. We actually biked part of the course. It sounds awesome. Next year!
-Huckleberry syrup.
-Phone free freedom.
Parents--thank you for a wonderful weekend. It was the most fun I've had in a coon's age! LOVEs.

Has the mayor lost weight? Is he overly stressed about how much damage the carnies did to the 'foot this fair season?
Glad to have ya! Mom
