Showing Off & Strutting Our Stuff


Tonight we celebrated the last bit of Summer O' Fitness, Summer O' Fun with a special Waffle Wednesday and a brief photoshoot. For the past 6 months we've been working toward our race and fitness goals. 3-4 times a week, Megan and Jerilyn would meet me in our parking lot to face our daily runs. When we started, it was dark and cold outside. I'd wear my long sleeved shirts and wish I was curled up in my cozy bed rather than facing the elements at some Godforsaken hour. At the peak of our training, we were willing to run extra early to avoid the heat and I traded in my long running pants for a short running skirt. The good news is that by the time we finished each of our runs, I felt better. Better about myself. Better about the day ahead. Better about my progress. By far, the best part of our runs was racing down the hill at the end.

This is how we traditionally took our positions. Look at that form and check out those matching "Thirty, Flirty, & Fabulous" t-shirts. Dang, we're hot looking runners.

Most the time we just like to show off our chests.


But sometimes we'd just drop and do 20. . .or show of our backsides.


Special thanks to Melissa for being our cheerleader & our photographer. We couldn't have done it without you. It was a great summer. . .the best one yet.

Those were the days when my butt was smaller...oh I want it back!! I need to run lots again!!
