Retrospective Perspective
Whenever I feel uncertain--uncertain about who I've become; uncertain about my choices; uncertain about my worth; uncertain about how I can best do good; uncertain about my abilities; uncertain about my use of semicolons; uncertain about feeling uncertain. . .I remember just how far I've come. I remember that I used to be afraid to order a pizza over the phone. I used to wear dresses with lace collars. I used to sleep with a giant white fur pillow in the shape of a foot (I made it in 7th grade sewing class--Mrs. Cathey didn't like me much). I used to think jay walking involved a trench coat & lots of skin. I used to have a crush on my Student Government advisor. I used to watch Perfect Strangers. I suppose today was one of those days. The kind of day where the greatest proof of my mortal worth is found in retrospect--in recognizing daily blessings. . .those small and simple things that help me become better--bit by bit better.

This might be my favorite photo of you. I love it!
Firstly, you DO look so BEAUTIFUL in this picture. Oh my gosh.
Secondly, everyone feels like this. Or at least anyone with any desire to change and progress. (For instance, I don't think my roommate has these feelings. Oh my gosh did I just say that?)
The point. IT IS GOOD. Good to question. Good to feel the fire which is refining. And here's how I know you're SMART. You're smart enough to know where you've been and recognize, "at least I'm not there anymore." I had a crush on Dylan McKay. Enough said.
I love changing and the fact that we are different, better than we once were. I used to wear sweats and flannel to school. Yikes. Not much better now, but everyday getting there. Did I mention today how amazing you are?
You Do look hot! Of course... because your MY sister.
We have come a long way haven't we?
First of all...gorgeouso picture Miss Michelle!
Secondly...I might have seen Perfect Strangers on TV last week and did my own little dance of joy!
Um, let's not pretend like you have any reason to be uncertain about anything when you look SO FREAKIN' SMOKIN' HOT in that picture!!! Gorgeous!!!! (Not that I'm surprised....)
Again...I took the picture.
