Our Country Christmas Store

One of my favorite things about Christmas this year was the hand-printed sign my grandma posted under her Christmas tree. It read, "Christmas Country Store." I thought it was sweet & characteristically wonderful of her. Sometimes when I'm at home in Blackfoot, I feel like we're in our own little world. The winter weather keeps us close to home and I love to curl up on the couch with a blanket to soak it the sounds and smells of the holidays--Virtue style. This year was no exception. We had some lovely outings this year. The Nutcracker performance was wonderful. . .though I slept through the first half. Our cold evening at the live nativity certainly did bring us closer together as we suffered through the pains caused by the sizeable woman in line behind us. The best part of our time together was just that--spending time watching episodes of House, fulfilling Ryan's Christmas wishes, laughing, reading Christmas stories, playing UNO, and looking forward to our upcoming family vacation. I'm telling you--these alternating days of snow and frigid temperatures are making that week of 80 degrees and sand look better and better.

I'm glad you are now happy!!! since your broken back was quite awhile ago. The only problem I see with this picture is that maybe now you won't come home to our wonderful bed.
