And Then There Was ONE . . .Again!
Remember about a week ago when I was "fairly certain?"
Well, I'm now CERTAIN. I'm certain that relationships are hard. I'm certain that finding someone you are willing to spend eternity with is a miracle. I'm certain this is harder for me than most. I'm certain it shouldn't be.
Here's the thing--I AM A CATCH. At least I used to think so. Needy--NO. Smart--most of the time. Stylish--some say. Reasonable--YES. Humble--not so much. Pleasing--try to be. Independent--sure. Willing--Yep. Hopeful--ALWAYS.
Please note a blogging pattern developing here at WFB. If I'm dating someone and really like them, their picture may appear with a semi-cryptic and always brief commentary. If matrimony is forthcoming, the commentary will be long and wistful (this has never happened in the 3 years since WFB was conceived). If there has been an end to the relationship, any previous post will be removed immediately (has happened on several occasions)--signaling a demise of the potential union and the green flag for all bloggers (stalkers & non-stalkers alike) to set yours truly up with semi-normal and socially competant brothers, cousins, business partners, pool boys, grandsons. . .you get my point.
Today I'm certain being single has its ups and downs. I'm fairly certain it will end on an UP. . .something about a merciful God comes to mind.

well we will be on the look out :)
I have said before, the offer has not been rescinded. The sister-wife position is still open.
Thank you, B.I.L. I'll take that offer under consideration. I'm fairly certain that things would have to get pretty bad in the world we call "singledom" for this single to take the sister-wife position, BUT stranger things have happened!
Sister wife. Geez. Could you really put up with Eric?
Sorry things didn't work out :(. If I knew the perfect guy, I'd totally send him your way. I do have a single brother, but unless you're willing to go hang gliding and/or motorcycling on a date, he probably isn't your type.
Michelle--You were right about two things: you are a complete catch, and finding the right time, one, and place is a miracle because it is darn, darn hard. The stars have to align.
I do have a boy for you in Winnemucca. DON'T STOP READING THERE. He farms with his married brothers. Matt likes him. I think he's a doll. (Next time you're coming through town...) I know, you're a city girl now, but I know you have a soft spot in your heart for farmers.
Whatever corner you are in...I'm there with you.

Sister V-
I feel your pain!
Sister J
I'm certain that I have the best friends and family EVER!
if there be anything you could learn from me... let it please be, don't lose hope, ever!
would it cheer you up if I told you I was pregnant?
OH MY HECK! THAT'S A BIG YESSSSIREE, MOMMY MELIS. . . .
i can think of three thousand married women that i thought would've had a harder time getting married than you. that just goes to show that heavenly father is in control. he wants you to stay single, for whatever reason that is. i think i'm in the same boat, and will be for quite some time. at least we're both independent people who know how to enjoy life on our own. that is a HUGE plus. like today, i just wandered around turkey by myself taking in the culture and people and surroundings. i had a great time. why do people want to drink their life away? i realized that today. i'm out there seeing all this cool stuff while my co-workers are all getting smashed. how stupid is that?
Michelle--you are amazing my friend. Yes--I 3rd the "finding someone to spend eternity with is hard and takes time" but it is time well spent, especially with you. You are so awesome friend--just keep your chin up and it will so happen. I know it's not much consolation, but now as a new aunt and sister-in-law to 2, you will have many boys to keep up with :) Somewhere in the middle of all that, you will find your perfect man :)
