May He Rest in Peace
Last summer when I decorated my bathroom, I purchased an adorable wooden duck to watch over and protect my commode. Unfortunately, Duck sacrificed his life last week in a dangerous rescue mission. He prevented a near Laura beheading when the shelf above the toilet took a plunge (L#1. . .I really need to borrow that stud finder). Today I finally buried Duck. May he rest in peace.
To Duck and all those brave fowl working tirelessly to protect the innocent. . .we salute you!

I feel really bad for your duck and I am SOOOOOOO glad "the duck" and the shelf didn't kill my baby and your sister. I too had a traumatic departure this last week. My sewing machine went to repair and they said "we cannot fix it - it needs parts". They don't make parts and so he said "do you want me to take it to the garbage" - quoting the repairman. I said "no I will take it". It sat in the garage this past week and your dad asked me if I wanted to throw it away. No I said you do it but do it when I can't see. I have done so much on that little machine - it was more than I could bear. Shirts, shirts, clothespin dolls, dresses, quilts, pants, heming pants, baby dresses, school dresses, pajamas - who my the list goes on. Dolls, pillows, more pillows, shirts and more shorts, skirts, - I just don't think about it in the garbage.
