Saturday Perfection

This is my friend, Miss Camilla. . .a medalist in the Nestle 5K. She knows how to run a race--nestled in a stroller. Meet Michelle. . .borrower of "the Winner's" medal for a shameless photo opp. I took Camilla's picture and helped Camilla take mine. Do you think my JLo shades are a bit much? I'm thinking so.

On occassion, I need a break from my blog. That taken, it's time to get everyone caught up with the comings and goings of the past few days. Where to begin?

Saturday I ran a 5K in Springville in celebration of Art City Days. It was a perfectly lovely morning and an equally wonderful run. I discovered that I'm ready to take the runner's plunge into a running skirt. The fact of the matter is that temperatures are on the rise and my legs need to be free. The only problem is that though I have "great legs," I don't have "perfect legs." I know you've seen the occasional runner whose shorts have slowly crawled. It's frightening. It creates a sticky situation and an unsightly presentation for all involved. I will not be one of those people. As a result, the women's running skirt has been working its way into vogue and is appearing everywhere on the running circuit (if you can call the Springville Nestle 5K circuit worthy). So, if you see a short girly running the streets of Provo in a sleek running skirt--hoping to reach "perfect legs" status, just give her a wave and know that she's running free.
After some post race cleaning, I decided it was time for the first summer fun pool time of 2007. Can I just tell you that I love to go to the pool? It was everything I have dreamed about for the last 6 months (since the Hawaii adventure). I love to lay around soaking in some semi-sunscreen blocked sun, listening to tunes, and reading a good book. Summer Fun is HERE!
