Aaron in Omaha

Anyone remember my friend Aaron? Sure you do--we made gingerbread houses together and he performed at my birthday party? Well, a couple of weeks ago, he moved to Nebraska. Grief stricken, I've managed to pull myself out of this Aaron-free world I find myself in an can scarcely function. The good news is that Aaron started a blog of his Nebraska adventures. Check it out! He is quite darling and pretty stinkin' funny, too.

Miss you, Aaron!

Where Have You Been All My LIFE?

Dinner party number one for February. This goal isn't as easy as it sounds. In fact, I've resorted to blatant flirting to solicite dinner guests. In fact, I sent Poncho (center) a text Friday night that read--"Where have you been all my life?" The good news is that it didn't frighten him and he brought a lovely plate of flan to our dinner party. He's darling and I think he has a crush on me. Aaron might have some serious competition.

For those brave enough to take a closer look at this photo--please note that I'm well aware of the fact that my hussy bra strap is showing, the new curtains look fabulous, and all is well because Fresca was adorning our bounteous table. That Poncho is one lucky fella.

Aaron and Bertie Bott's Beans

I have had a special request from 2 of my favorite people to post photos from Sunday's Bertie Bott Been Bonanza. We played a round of cards and losers had to eat a bean. Aaron is pictured choking down a sardine bean. . .a fate worse than vomit or booger or even earwax.

It ain't pretty, but that's how the game is played!

Dyno-Mite Sunday Dinner

Remember that one of the New Year's goals is to have fun people over for fun food at least twice a month. . .well last week we had Ryan and Kourtney in town and this week it was our favorite gingerbread building guru.Yep--today was the BIG day. Aaron came for dinner. It has been weeks in the making, but Aaron found Where Flowers Bloom just in the nick of time. We had a lovely afternoon. You know, you can't beat a bit of salmon, some good friends, and lots of laughs. Believe it or not--Aaron likes to play Uno with Harry Potter jelly beans. It was awesome. In fact, we split a vomit bean (though I'm pretty sure it was a spagetti). . .how romantic.

Those of you who think my furniture is uncomfortable, obviously don't understand that what it lacks in comfort it makes up for in coziness. Thanks for coming, Aaron!
The number of people in our ward living in the Grandview has slowly dwindled in recent months, but the quality has been maintained. Dustin and Josh had their first Virtue dinner. I think we might have interrupted their naps. . .hope it was worth it. I'm sure Josh will be thrilled that his premier on the blog will forever be tainted by Danny giving him bunny ears.

Bowman and his roommate, Danny, made a guest appearance at this evening's dinner. I love that Bowman's tie matched the salmon. If my memory serves me, Bowman and I have a date for this weekend. He was pretty sly about asking me out, but I could see through his shy exterior.

Congratulations, AARON. You finally made it.

Remember my good FHE friend, Aaron? Well, he keeps asking what my blog address is. I keep telling him. . .

Aaron, if you call me within 48 hours of this post, Kimmy and I will have you over for our first entertaining extravaganza of 2007. Hope you find Where Flowers Bloom.

Aaron & Michelle. . .architect & builder

Aaron definitely brought our famous award-winning gingerbread house to the ward Christmas Dinner. The palm trees didn't make it to Aspen Grove. Palms don't traditionally do well in white winter weather.I think Aaron has a thing for me. I'm pretty sure he enjoys feeding me stale gumdrops a little too much.
