Now That We've Separated. . .

I'm just going to come out and admit it--I miss Kimmy. I miss her for lots of reasons, but here are my top 10 for today.

1. Sometimes I need to vent when I get home from work. Kimmy would listen to me. Now the only one to complain to is myself--BORING!!!
2. Kimmy and I used to split a box of sugar free cook-n-serve pudding. I had to buy pudding singles for myself the other day. PATHETIC!!!
3. I miss Kimmy's messy room. It's so clean and empty right now. BORING!!!
4. Remember how Kimmy always took out the trash? I have to do it myself now. Trashy!!!
5. In the mornings when I'd come home from a run or the gym, I could smell Kimmy's perfume lingering after she had already left for work. SMELLY!
6. I haven't bought bananas since Kimmy left. I miss Coco & her bananas.
7. When my house gets messy, it's all my fault.
8. I made tacos for myself tonight. I'll be eating leftovers for many days.
9. I miss the tiny hairs Kimmy would bring home from the barbershop. They represented a hard day's work.
10. I think Kimmy is the only person who really understand me. I miss being understood.

Bridal Shower Brunch Anyone?

Today was a lovely day for a bridal shower brunch. It was also a lovely day to be with friends and family to celebrate our Kimmy & her goodness.
Lots of friends!

Lots of lovely gifts from generous hearts.
And more friends. . .
Some giant balloons and an abundance of tissue.
Wait--don't forget the flowers & favors.
and the FOOD.
And here we have the most important part of all--three sisters who genuinely love each other. Two sisters who are so excited for their Kimmy and her new adventures. We love you.

Happy, Happy Birthday, Kimmy Dear

You'd never guess it but Kimmy is celebrating a BIG birthday today. She's perfectly 30 and completely wonderful. I'm not sure how I got so lucky, but I'm grateful to have had her near me for all of those 30 years. Love you, Kimmy!

Runny Nose Meets Rainy Day

Sometimes when I'm sick and it's rainy, Kimmy makes me a grilled cheese and tomato soup dinner. That's what good sisters do.

Cocoa the Monkey

Recently, Kimberly has been consuming an incredible number of bananas--so, we started calling her Cocoa the monkey. Eric found a giant-sized inflatable monkey holding a banana and figured it would be the perfect gift for his soon to be sister-in-law.
Kimmy loves her Cocoa. Hugs and kisses.
Dad even warmed up to the little fellow.
Cocoa helped Laura and Eric with their wedding announcements. Good Cocoa.

We had to leave Cocoa in Blackfoot because there isn't any room for him to swing in the trees in our Provo condo. So, Mary Lu is taking care of Cocoa while we're away. They are good friends. Sometimes Cocoa shares his bananas with Mary Lu. Sometimes Mary Lu lets Cocoa ride on her shoulder.

Thumper Meets Kimmy

Kimmy and I flew to Boise and on the flight back, she insisted upon sitting in the window seat. Fine. I'm a giver by nature and was more than willing to sacrifice for her happiness. The funniest thing about the flight was the moth stuck between the two plexiglass window pieces. She affectionately named the little guy THUMPER.
