Farrar Wedding

I flew to Seattle last Friday to enjoy the celebration that was Stephanie & Rob's wedding. Sometimes wedding trips are plagued with boredom, annoyances, or plain nothingness. Sometimes you just can't wait to get home. This trip was not one of those experiences. This visit of bliss was full of pampering, wonderful food, dear friends, laughter, and the complete joy of a darling couple. I seriously had the best time! Please note the happiness in my face as I enjoy a beverage at the most amazing reception of the century.
You might recognize this gorgeous group--they call themselves the Farrar Sisters. I call them amazing.
Green kermit mums were show-stopping.
The beverage table was one of the most popular spots of the night--I think it had something to do with the near record temperatures.
The welcome table. Oh, did I ever feel welcome.
The cake table--full of luscious desserts. I was especially fond of Aunt Susan's cherry chocolate cake--a favorite of mine since she made it for us in 1996--when I was young and impressionable.
Oh, the gifts. I hope Rob & Steph don't mind, but I picked a few out for myself. They have really good friends.
Meet Uncle Jerry & Grandma Jackie. LOVE them!
Alicia is beautiful. Okay--all of the Farrars are beautiful. Beautiful friends. Beautiful hearts. Beautiful talents.

Hugs and many thanks for one of my best weekends of the summer. Let's do it again really soon (HINT).

Missing the Palooza

So I've spent the past few days tying up last minute Valentine ends. It's just three weeks away and if everything isn't done by the end of the week, it isn't going to happen. I have 5 delivery vans, drivers, tables, signs, order forms, cards, newspaper ads, price sheets, florist, highlighters--oh, and the flowers ordered. I have extra cash registers, change, balloons, candy, and red paper coming out my ears. It dawned on me this morning that the only thing I'm missing this beloved February is my favorite Valentine's Palooza. Alicia always makes this dreaded season happier with her card making and treat providing party. I miss her. I miss the Palooza. . .maybe I'm going to have to carry on the tradition myself this year. It certainly won't have the grandeur or mystic, but there will be some cardstock and redhots to celebrate the coming of cupid and that's enough to ease the pains of florists everywhere.

An IcyBlast Promise

By now you should all know that I'm susceptible to the influence of fragrance. I can't help it. In fact, it has come to my attention that most women feel the same way. Unfortunately, I convinced that most men have yet to discover this phenomenon. It's quite simple--there's nothing better than a man who smells good.

There are a select few in my life whom I trust completely. Alicia is one of them. She knows what I like. She knows what I don't. A few months ago she told me that a certain someone used Irish Spring--IcyBlast and it had amazing results. So, last week when I went to buy soap, the IcyBlast box caught my eye. I grabbed a 3-pk and went on my way. IT IS AMAZING. It's like a little piece of heaven on earth. I'm tempted to just let the shower run over the bar so I can walk into my bathroom and smell all of its goodness. Though I love IcyBlast, I quickly discovered that it's not the bar soap for me. I want/need to smell like magnolia blossoms or plumeria. Otherwise, all of those handsome bachelors who enjoy sniffing me on occassion might get the wrong idea! So, at this special season of giving, I've decided to donate my 2 sacred bars of IcyBlast to some very deserving friends whom I believe can most benefit from the cool refreshment. If they will adopt an IcyBlast regimen, I'm convinced they will see amazing results. It's an IcyBlast promise.
