A Few Things
Bad blogging week with no real excuse--other than things have been busy. I sometimes wonder what I would do with a husband and kids. As it is, I don't have time to keep my own head above the proverbial holiday water. Here are a few things I've been thinking about and noticing the past few days:1. Why do people have large dogs in small condos? It's rude, ridiculous, inhumane, and filthy.
2. Ever since WFB went private, I've been missing some friends. Granted, I don't really know who they are, but I can strangely sense their absence.
3. Studio 5 yesterday was great. . .quick, but great. Brother-in-law Eric made a superb showing. Word is that they showed the segment again on the 4 o'clock news. Must have been a slow news day.
4. I have developed an exercise routine that is flawlessly consistent. I meet a girl from our apartment complex MWF to go to the gym & my friend Jerilyn and I head to the smelly BYU track to run TTh. My conscience won't allow either of these girls to suffer in the cold of winter if I don't show up--so I do. It's a brilliant workout tactical move & it's finally paying off. I feel good again.
5. I've been invited to go to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert by three different people. I have had to turn down all three invitations. It totally stinks because I REALLY want to go. Oh, well.
6. Remember how I feel on the ice on Monday? Well, I think I hurt my shoulder. It about kills me to take off my bra (I know--more information than you wanted). My shoulder feels old.
7. I'm in love with Febreze Air Effects.
8. I went to the mall on my lunch break to drop off some pants that need altering & there was not a parking spot to be found. It was mid-afternoon on a weekday. Curses.
9. Kimmy & I are back into popcorn eating. Mmmm.
10. I'm having a sleepover with the 5 Jenkins tonight so the 2 marrieds can getaway for their anniversary. Pray for me.

Patrick In Tooele
Anyone know how to get into Miller Motorsports Park on Friday night? I wish my favorite brother-in-law had a connection. . .he'd definitely win some bonus points with his wife and super-fab sister-in-law. HINT, HINT!
Patrick Dempsey to Debut Mazda RX-8 Racecar in Utah
He won't be Dr. Derek Shepherd. He certainly won't be Dr. McDreamy. He won't even be actor Patrick Dempsey. No, on most weekends, it's racer Patrick Dempsey. On September 15, Dempsey will debut his brand new SoBe Beverage-sponsored Hyper Sport Mazda RX-8 in the Grand-American GT class at the Sunchaser 1000K at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.Co-driving in the RX-8 with Dempsey will be teammates Joe Foster and Charles Espenlaub, while he will drive solo in the 45-minute Mazda MX-5 Cup "sprint" race. Dempsey is a very busy man these days, balancing life as an actor, husband, dad, racer and Mazda voice-over talent for TV commercials. That's right: it really is Dr. McDreamy saying "Zoom-Zoom" in those Mazda ads.

Eric & his Piggy Sandwich
THIS is why I have the best brother in law in the history of the world. . .he loves the Baconator.
Even though I know Eric thinks my current anti-beef kick is ridiculous, I thought he should know that I support his beef-eating habits. In fact, I'd like him to each a Baconator or two for his favorite sister-in-law--who, incidentally, thinks that burger looks damned fine.

Happy Flag Day to All
A little snapshot from Laura's Birthday Bonanza! She has finally decided to join the bandwagon and shamelessly solicit herself for birthday happiness (that sounds kinda creepy, huh?) and I think it paid off. She definitely scored (probably not the best choice of words either) some serious electronic gadgets. We had a great evening. . .lots of laughs and plenty of birthday goodness. Sure do love being a sister. It's honestly one of the greatest things in my life.
Please note the flag in the background. . .it's a double celebration. Laura and Flag Day.

Eric's First Christmas. . .with the Virtues
I'm sending my warmest congratulations out to Eric (he likes it when we pronounce his name ErEEEK) for successfully making it through his first Christmas in Blackfoot relatively unscathed. Please note the new shirt from Laura. . .you'll see it in future posts.
This is actually Laura's mask. . .she is such a diva! Apparently, she married a DEEVA. FYI--don't call Laura between 1-4pm. Chances are, she is napping! How would it be?
Eric is now a track star! Good thing Santa brought him this new suit. . .he's going to have to do a lot of running from Laura if he wears it very often.
Eric is now the proud owner of a limited edition (1 in print) "I Slept With The Mayor's Daughter" t-shirt. It was a special request and we're thinking of a mass printing if dad runs for re-election. Don't even worry--I had it printed at Cougar Creations. . . .they now think I'm creepy.
All in all, I think Eric handled us very well. To ease his pain, he took home an XBox for enduring our silliness. He looks pretty happy about it, huh?
Not wanting to scare off any potential suitors, let me just recap. . .Eric left the holiday with a large electronic item, my mom feeds him Rupe's (Rupey's), he sleeps with the Mayor's daughter, and now he has his own post on my blog. The Virtue Christmas is looking pretty tempting, isn't it? Incidentally, notice his goofy smile in all these pictures! There are still two eligible Virtue Daughters. . .I kept the template for the t-shirt.
