Bowman--Origami Romance

Bowman literally wears his heart on his sleeve. Bowman and I had an origami moment today when he made a special visit to my office. He wanted to fold something romantic. . .so I did the unthinkable. I flipped through the origami calendar and swiped from next month's selection. Come on--it was Bowman. I can stretch the rules for Bowman. Besides, he was feeling romantic. A girl can't argue with that, right? He folded a heart and I folded the other. . .symbolic? Yes, yes I think so.

I could use a little bit of work on my technique, but I'm improving.

Origami to Go

For Christmas, Eric & Laura gave me an origami calendar. Each day there is a different folding exercise to try the patience of my brain and the dexterity of my fingers. The calendar sits on my desk and when special guests pay me a visit, we like to sit and fold while we solve the problems of the universe.

Today, Jeremiah came bearing a half empty chocolate milk. After we discussed the merits of his yellow tie, the paper folding frolic began. Please note his obvious excitement. Double sailboats. . .another paper-folding miracle.
Notice the bird to the right of the picture. . .Jared's creation from last week.

It is going to be one fantastic year.
