Honey, There's a New Mayor in Town!
Let me preface this post--I know this picture is a little goofy, but he's actually pretty normal!
The votes are in. . .Mike Virtue is the new Mayor Blackfoot, ID. Last night the citizens voted in a run-off against the current Mayor Reese and my dad. While all of the political hub-bub was spinning about, dad was with his young men playing paint ball. How appropriate! In fact, the last I talked to mom around 10:30, he hadn't even made it home from their activity. One thing is for certain. . .the City of Blackfoot will be a better place for having him as their mayor. I know I've been better for having him as my dad! Oh, you'll all want to reserve the Saturday before Labor Day--as the first family of Blackfoot will be riding in the Eastern Idaho State Fair Parade. It starts at 10am. . .so mark it on your calendars. For those number crunchers out there. . .I'll post the media/city final data as it becomes available.

My heck the people of Blackfoot had better not see this photo they may have some second thoughts. He certainly is the best mayor and Dad that I could ever imagine.

You're right, Laura. . .maybe I should take the picture off. Though, you know as well as I do that dad always turns on that goofy smile when we take pictures. That might actually be the best snapshot we have. SCARY!
