Someone Help!

I'm in a predicament. Not really unusual, as there is always something to be figured out or worked through. This particular conundrum is completely out of my control and, anyone who knows me, would understand that is quite bothersome. So, I've decided to take matters into my own hands. The thing is. . .I'M SHORT. It's time to face reality. This little 4' 11" body is just shy of stumpy.

I've been searching for some running gear and can't seem to find anything that will work. I've tried just running pants. . .TOO long. A girl could kill herself from tripping on them. Capri pants offer an reasonable solution, but they hit just above my ankle--completely unacceptable. I look like a white female Steve Urkel from Family Matters. . .remember TGIF? I don't know what to do. As I stood in a dressing room this afternoon, I honestly considered some sort of height intervention. Do they do that? Can I be stretched? Will someone please invent a non-invasive leg insert? I'm grasping for straws here, but it would appear that I'm too short to reach them.

HELP--I've fallen and I can't grow up.

I've fall and I can't grow up-- you are funny.
You are in a situation. I think I'd almost take up sewing because kid's clothes will be too big in the waist and petite clothes are probably still a little too long-- plus theya re so expensive.
At least you have a sense of humor.

I'd like to point out that episode of the Brady Bunch when one of them decided to get taller by hanging on the swingset. Now look at him, he's on My Fair Brady on VH1. So if you don't want to get your own VH1 show, don't try to hang on a swingset.

Though I do have great legs. . .short, but great--I'm not quite read to sport the shortie shorts for my run. Yep, I'm afraid I might distract some of my fellow runners. That just wouldn't be fair--or would it?
