The Back to School Blues

Today I've been suffering from a severe case of the back to school blues. I'm quite confident that it will pass quickly. In fact, I might be back to normal tomorrow, but tonight--I'm lamenting. You see, I forget what fall is like. I forget that the days of walking into a restaurant in Provo and not having to wait are but a fleeting memory. No movies for the next 8 months. . .unless you want to wait in line and then sit on the front row of the theatre. Heavens--it took me an extra 5 minutes to get to work the morning. And--if one more person comes through my office door wondering if I'm hiring, I might scream. Not to mention the fact that Macey's was fresh out of FRESCA. . .those darned kids.

Work is crazy, life is crazy, campus is crazy, Provo is crazy and I might be next! I'm actually considering committing social single suicide and doing the unthinkable. . .buying a house in Blackfoot and living out the rest of my days in peace and tranquility. You think I'm kidding? I'm so serious!

Maybe I had better do something fun for myself tomorrow. A special back to school shopping trip or a photo shoot up the canyon. Maybe I'll go buy a new box of crayons or a pedicure sounds nice. I just might survive this back to school business afterall.

You are never here to celebrate it being pretty so no you can't make it pretty.

You will be calmer and able to relax more if it is PRETTY.
