Reinforcements

During events and holidays, I like to call in reinforcements. It's impossible for my regular staff to accomodate the amazing influx of business during this season. . .so we rely on a super-dee-dooper on-call staff. Two of my favorites are June & Fae. They've worked for the store over 20 years and must be in their mid-70s. They are hilarious. When they come to visit, the typical conversation topics take on an entirely new flavor. Instead of boys, homework, and weekend plans, we talk about menopause, grandkids, the plight of teens, aches and pains, neighborhood gossip, recipes, and home remedies. June and Fae give me perspective. I can't wait to be one of the "CCF Ladies". . .it's like a retirement group of CCF old timers who still have a love for life, learning, and anything floral.
