Make New Friends. . .

We had friends from our ward over for dinner tonight before FHE. It was a desperate attempt to rid our kitchen of some ever-lingering chopsticks. As a result, we served not-so-Asian dishes and our guests were required to use at least one set of sticks. Great! 6 down, 20 to go. Maybe we'll have a bon-fire next week. That should speed up the process of natural utensil decimation.

Times like these remind me of how much fun Kimmy & I are. Maybe it's the excitement of getting to know new people that brings out our true colors. Tonight was refreshing. For some reason, I had forgotten what it was like to start anew with a wide assortment of personalities, backgrounds, and tastes. It's like a clean slate. No baggage. No pre-conceived ideas. No fault-finding. All of our stories are new. . .our lives are exciting. I suppose that's what making new friends is all about. . .learning, growing, and hoping. Hoping that someday you'll be old friends.

I just might have a tongue sliver from one of those damned chopsticks. . . .ooh, Kimmy, you're in a STICKy bit of trouble now.
