Laura Leela Loola
Remember how I'm the oldest child in the Virtue household? Remember how I was the first child to go to Kindergarten; the first to get my wisdom teeth out; the first to drive; the first to date?. . .I could go on and on. Well, the fact of the matter is that on Friday I won't be the first to get married. Ironically, for the first time in our lives, the youngest will go first. I have to admit that I thought it would bother me--that I'd be jealous or feel like a slow-poke. NOPE! I honestly think it's the greatest thing in the entire world. Maybe is has something to do with the fact that Laura is ready or that we really think Eric is incredible (don't tell him that--I'm still playing like the tough sister-in-law). Maybe is has something to do with the fact that we've always been so close and I can't think of anyone I'd rather see blissfully happy. I'm 8 years older than Laura and well, I remember the day she showed up at our house. I was so excited! I'm still excited everytime we're home together. I love to talk to her about dumb stuff and important stuff, too. I love it when she tell me something is creepy or when she calls me a 'diva.' I love it when she asks for my opinion or when she cleans my bathroom (boy do I miss that). I love Laura's blue eyes and her soft heart. When my family dropped me off in Provo for my first semester of school, Laura cried the whole way back to Blackfoot. Well, on Friday when she gets married and I head back to Provo, I'm pretty sure it will by my turn to cry for that 3 1/2 hour stretch. Here's to little sisters, happiness, and celebrating firsts.
