Rex E. Lee Run

Ran the Rex E. Lee 5k this morning. It was my first 5k of the year and it felt really good. There were tons of people. . .all ages, races, sizes, and levels of running experience. I felt pretty good about my time and it's always nice when there are people finishing behind you. Iwill tell you that the thought of running another 10 miles made me sick. I obviously have a long way to go in training for August. Sorry, folks. No pictures because XT stayed home for his own safety and because I don't look too great after these adventures. My new running shoes and Lady L. inspired Power Sox were fabulous. . .maybe I will make 13 miles.

Say it isn't so!! Just tell me you are happy and a 5K is as far as you want to go, so the rest of us dreamers can bag the whole 13 mile thing and we can quit feeling guilty!! ( I can probably run a 3K, will that do?)

I'm sensing some 1/2 marathon skepticism. 5K or 13 miles. It's all the same. The pain comes and then you become numb to it. As I see it, 13 miles might be easier. More time to lose your senses. Maybe I've already lost my senses. . .in more than one way.

It's all in the PowerSox baby!! I'm thinking that after our 1/2 marathon, the PowerSox Co. might just want us to be their endorsers.
