Walter the Farting Dog
This post is for my favorite Loveless pair. They inspired me tonight with the most perfectly well thought out gift for my birthday bonanza--a basket of their favorite things. From Milk Duds to Music, it was absolutely amazing. I adored everything and adore them. I'm especially in love with a children's book they gave me, entitled, Today I Feel Silly & Other Moods that Make My Day by Jamie Lee Curtis. One of the pages reads, "Today I am cranky so nothing seems right. I have diarrhea and broke my new kite." This passage reminded Calli of another book she came across while perusing the children's section of the bookstore. . .Walter the Farting Dog. What in the world? Let me just say this. . .I'm grateful Calli has all of the grace and good sense to keep Walter on the bookstore shelf where he belongs. Thanks again for the fun birthday treasures. You guys are the best.

Glad you enjoyed it...I think that we could be giving Oprah a run for her money with this whole "Favorite Things" craziness--I mean she doesn't even know about Walter the Farting Dog...not that it is a favorite (yet...Ryan seems pretty interested in reading it though). Farting...one more reason why the Loveless bros would argue against having a dog, especially one named Walter.
You know what you have done? Now everyone is going to go out and buy that blasted book - "Walter the Farting Dog". It is going to be a Newberry Award Winner (I can't remember if Newberry Award is pictures or favorite book). Anyway you may make it a Best Whatever Book. You are in the ditch. Maybe you could be on the committee.
