Banana Bread

I'm making banana bread. CoCo's banana consumption seems to be on the decline. Maybe her potassium levels are going back to normal. I sure hope so--though Chiquita will be sad to hear that their sales are going to plummet in the coming weeks. Mmmmm. . . .it smells so good. I think heaven will probably smell like banana bread, don't you think? I don't even care if I have any to eat. The smell is enough.

Michelle's Famous Banana Bread Recipe. . .Guaranteed to Smell Great, or Your Money Back!

5 very ripe bananas
4 eggs
1 cup shortening
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Beat bananas. Add eggs and beat to combine. Beat shortening and gradully add sugar. Stir in vanilla and banana mixture. Wisk together flour, salt, and soda. Pour into 2-9x5 greased loaf pans. I like to sprinkle the top with sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes.

Yep, a little piece of heaven from my kitchen to yours. Enjoy.

That is absolutely torture as I sit at my desk and eat cold grapes for breakfast. (Mayor, I mean work at my desk and eat cold grapes!) Thanks for sharing!

Grapes. Bananas. Both fruits, right? Equally healthy brain food. The mayor is lucky to have you.
